Weekly / 2013-2015
Sunday is an iconic publication in New Zealand, a newspaper features magazine known for its irreverent tone of voice and quality storytelling. It is filled with sharp, insightful writing and provocative yet sensitive feature writing by some of the country’s most esteemed journalists and essayists. From satire, culture and ‘celebrity’ to observational and investigative pieces, if it was fresh and fascinating, it was in there. The Sunday stories I commissioned travelled far and wide, and in my first year as editor the publication rose to the top spot in its category for the first time in a decade. Below are some of my favourite issues; click to enlarge.
